Teren AS · AI for small business
AI agents that work for a small business — tested in my own company first
I run Teren AS, an access control and video surveillance company in Oslo. Over the past year I built a team of AI agents that helps me run it: CRM, emails, tenders, incoming requests. Now I set up the same kind of system for other small businesses, on your server and with your own accounts.
Why agents
Chat answers. An agent does the next step.
ChatGPT helped me write and translate. But I was still the one moving everything by hand: copying answers into the CRM, into emails, setting reminders, explaining the same context again and again.
| Chat | Business agent | |
|---|---|---|
| Gives an answer | Yes | Yes |
| Moves the data for you | No | Yes |
| Works on a schedule or when something happens | No | Yes |
| Remembers your customers and decisions | Limited | Yes |
| Asks you before anything goes out | — | Yes |
An AI agent is AI that has permitted tools and carries out steps of a process itself, not only writes a reply.
Not a demo
What runs in my own company today
This is how Teren works every day.
Meetings land in the calendar
Every hour an agent reads emails and chats, finds agreed meetings and puts them in the CRM and Google Calendar. No duplicates.
Email drafts, I approve
The agent researches the company, writes a short draft in Norwegian and sets a follow-up. Nothing is sent without me.
Tender radar
Every day it checks public tenders and sends me only the relevant ones.
Incoming requests sorted
A separate agent reviews new job requests, picks what fits us and asks one question: “Send the offer?”
Memory
I ask “Who is Vasyl?” and the agent knows who he is, when we last spoke and what we agreed.
Friday review
One message with how the week went.
The memory part is what surprises people
A chat starts from zero every morning. An agent finds what was saved: decisions, rules, people, mistakes. Honest version: it remembers what was recorded properly — memory needs care too.
As of October 2026. Built on open-source tools: OpenClaw and Hermes for the agents, EspoCRM as the CRM.
Before / after
Same person, much more volume
| Task | Before | Now |
|---|---|---|
| Presentation or commercial offer | a full day | about an hour |
| Reviewing incoming job requests | hours of reading and copy-paste | one question: “Send the offer?” |
| Mailings and LinkedIn | manual | almost automatic |
I still work long days. The difference is the volume I can handle: without AI I could not do this amount of work alone.
The service
What I set up for you
Agent on your server
OpenClaw or Hermes on a VPS you own: secured, starts automatically, with logs and config backup.
AI provider on your account
Anthropic, OpenAI, OpenRouter or similar. I choose the model by task and budget, and switch when it pays off.
One chat channel
Telegram, Slack or Discord, limited to the people you choose.
One skill, one real process
The thing you do by hand every week: email triage, reply drafts, weekly report, reminders.
Memory and knowledge base
Your documents and rules, so you don’t explain everything twice.
Handover
A short README and one hour of training with the person who will use it. Monthly care is optional.
You pay the AI tokens and the server directly, on your own accounts. I set things up; I don’t resell them. For reference, my own system costs me under ~$100 a month in server and tokens. Your cost depends on volume.
How a pilot works
Start with one process, not ten
20-minute call
You tell me which task eats your week.
Pick one process
We agree what “better” means in numbers.
Set up and measure
I build it on your server; you use it for a few weeks.
Decide together
If it saves you time, we continue. If not, we stop there.
I’m looking for 2–3 pilot businesses this autumn.
The honest part
What it is not
- There is no magic button. Every workflow has to be set up for how you work. That takes time at the start.
- Agents make mistakes. Anything that goes to a customer waits for your approval.
- It does not replace your team. It takes the repetitive hours off the people you already have.
- What I don’t do: custom software development, ERP or accounting migration, systems for health or children’s data.
Your data
Where your data goes
You own the server and the AI account; I set up the access. What you send to the agent is processed by the AI provider you choose, under that provider’s terms. I’ll show you exactly which data goes where before we start.

Find your first process for an AI agent
Checklist: tick what is true for your task
0 of 7. Five or more: a good pilot candidate.
Starter prompt: try the idea in ChatGPT or Claude today
You are my operations assistant. I run a small business: [what you do, for whom]. Every week I spend time on: [one repetitive task]. 1. Ask me up to 5 questions to understand how I do this task today, step by step. 2. Then split it into steps and mark each one: AI can do it / AI can draft it, I approve / only I can do it. 3. Suggest the first single step I should hand to AI this week, and what I need to give you for it. Keep answers short. No jargon.
FAQ
Questions people ask
Do I need technical skills?
No. You need one person who knows the process and will use the agent every day.
Which AI model do you use?
The one that fits the task and your budget. Models change fast, so I switch when it pays off.
What does it cost?
A fixed price for the setup, agreed after the first call. AI tokens and the server are billed directly to you. My own system runs under ~$100 a month.
Can the agent send emails by itself?
It can, but I don’t set it up that way. Drafts wait for your approval.
What if it breaks?
With monthly care I keep it updated and running. There is no guaranteed response time without a signed agreement.
Can it work with my accounting or ERP system?
Only if that system has an open API. I check that before promising anything.
Want a pilot for your business?
Send me two lines: what your business does, and which task you repeat every week. I’ll reply with a time for a 20-minute call.
I use your details only to answer this request.
